Team
A team of four responsible for running German and international payroll across different company entities. We work closely with external payroll providers to ensure accurate and compliant processing and collaborate regularly with People Operations on all employee-related matters. Part of the Finance team, we're a small but central function that keeps things running smoothly across the business.
Your Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and thoroughly verify monthly payroll data for various entities to guarantee precise information is sent to external partners.
- Act as the central point of contact for external payroll providers, social security institutions, and tax offices, managing all operational inquiries while ensuring strict adherence to processing timelines.
- Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support the Accounting team in reconciling payroll-related accounts and reports.
- Maintain and optimize clear documentation for internal payroll workflows and collaboration models between HR, Finance, and the providers.
Your Profile
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in payroll coordination with proven experience working with external payroll providers and managing data transmission effectively.
- A good understanding of German payroll, tax, and social security principles. Experience or familiarity with international payroll (e.g., Spain or Italy) is a strong plus.
- Capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining close, proactive communication with HR and Finance.
- Proficient in MS Excel. Familiarity with HR tools like Personio and project management tools like Jira is an advantage.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
