The saxophonist/ singer/ songwriter is a perennial favourite at the annual Blues Music Awards in Memphis, having been voted in the âBest Instrumentalist/Hornâ category with seven nominations and two wins.
His most recent release (2024), Just Got Started, on Gulf Coast Records, opened to rave reviews, debuting at #3 on Apple Blues, and #10 on the Billboard Blues Chart and in 2025 Jimmy received his 10th Blues Music Award nomination for Best Instrumentalist/Horn (he won in 2021 and 2022.)
A professional musician since 1980, He has toured the world with Tinsley Ellis, Jimmy Thackery, Walter Wolfman Washington, Eric Lindell, and Mike Zito. He is also President of the Las Vegas Blues Society.
